Welcome Cohort 2!

The Quantum Informatics CDT is delighted to welcome its second cohort of PhD students, bringing together another talented group of researchers with a shared interest in shaping the future of quantum technologies.

Joining an established and growing CDT community, Cohort 2 will undertake a four-year programme combining intensive training, interdisciplinary learning, and cutting-edge research. Students will explore a diverse range of challenges across quantum informatics, from quantum software and architectures to applications and enabling technologies for quantum computing, communication, and sensing.

A key strength of the CDT is its collaborative approach, connecting students with leading researchers across our academic partner institutions and with experts from industry. This environment gives students the opportunity to develop both the specialist knowledge and broader skills needed to contribute to a rapidly developing field, while working on research with potential real-world impact.

With the arrival of Cohort 2, the Quantum Informatics CDT continues to grow its community and strengthen its collaborative network across academia and industry. We look forward to seeing this new generation of students develop their ideas, build new connections, and contribute to the advances that will shape the future of quantum technology.
